| Gear nut | Is it okay/safe to put studio monitors on top of home speakers???
I wanted to set up several different listening mediums (headphones, small Sony desktop speakers, computer speakers and eventually (after I save up some money) Mackie monitors) to see if my mixes translate well on all of them. I was wondering if it's all right to put studio monitors on top of home stereo speakers (speakers on top of speakers)? I ask because of the speaker magnets and also the safety of my equipment. It's to save space, not needing to buy stands and they would be perfect height on top of the home speakers. |
