does anyone know how to get ilok authorized plugins to work?

i took over somebody's ilok account with a bunch of authorzations on it. i cant figure out how to configure it all though...i seemingly download the plugin from digi, then when i launch pro tools it says it cant see it on my ilok, but at my ilok.com account the authorization is shown on the ilok...i also have successfully authorized two McDSP plugins (was easier thanks to software cd's) but they do not show up in my audiosuite. whats the deal with this complicated crap?

Did you install the iLok drivers on your PC?

Start off by downloading the iLok drivers from www.paceap.com. Use the "download" section in the upper right of th page. Then, the iLok needs to be connected prior to launching Pro Tools. Also make sure you have the correct/matching version of the plugins installed for whatever version of Pro Tools you're using. You should see the plugin be scanned as PT launches. And I'd look for it on an insert before checking AudioSuite, unless it's a dedicated AS plug.

ive downloaded the drivers, and downloaded the plugins, still no plugins showing up.

Do you actually have the physical iLok USB dongle? Is it plugged into a USB port?

If you have the iLok plugged in, it could be old authorizations on the iLok that don't correspond to the new Digi plugins.

i got it. my stoooopit computer saved the downloaded plugins in some squirrely location on my computer, i dragged them into their rightful plugin folder, and BAM!! fruitful McDSP plugin madness at my disposal!
