![]() Dont buy anything from emu systems dont dont dont I built a studio using 2 1212m using 2 computers one of the 1212m came with emulatorx plus a xboard25 none of the gear lived up to the spin but worse the support is dire dfegad I sent my 1st email stating problems and pc specs the only email I received was asking what problems were and the spec of my computer doh that was 01/11/09. Still no support .I contacted the store I bought this crap from and explained that the gear didnt do what it says on the emu site , support is part of the deal when you buy so I got a refund according to uk consumer laws ![]() emu systems are now owned by creative and to be honest I wouldnt use any creative even if it was free I think that creative bought emu to use emu hardware reputation and try and kick it with the big boys roland korg etc they donttutt If you havnt bought a card the esi juli@ its got balanced/unbalanced/spdif/midi and its cheap and depending on your computer spec and setup you can use you sequencing software to route busses and dsp | |

I have used both the 0404 PCI and USB models (still have the USB), and run SONAR with no problems except I had to update the drivers. I'm now using an E-MU 1820, and it's performance is excellent so far. As long as I do my part, it does what it's supposed to do.

They are diffrent.. 0404 USB doesn't have patchmix DSP which makes 0404PCI unique, but it has physical controler and Mic/Hi-z inputs instead. I have an E-MU 1820m PCI(which share same audio driver with 0404 PCI) It works fine at lower latency (less than 4ms) in my circumstance. if you need Mic/hi-z inputs, you should choose 0404USB or Tracker pre, otherwise 0404PCI is enough to run DAW applications. |
