Har Bal

Ive been messing around with this software for a while now and wondered if anyone here has used it. Ive found it to be a great tool for helping me spot dodgy areas in my mixes, whcih have now improved as a result of the software. While the software itself could use a little improvement here and there, generally I think its pretty good and not just for mastering folks.

It serves me very well, esp. in the low-end. Brilliant when monitoring is troublesome under say 80Hz. Reference files which are provided are useful as well.

Hmmm, quite surprised at the lack of turn out on this thread. Thought at least a few people here would have tried it. Still, for those that havent I highly recommend at least checking out the demo and loading up one of your mixes. It might prove to be revealing, especially if you have a less than ideal room.

Sammy, I find it useful for many things, including what you just mentioned. I move around a lot so I dont have th eluxury of being able to treat a room to my liking. My current room was forcing me to boost certain frequencies in an attempt to compensate. Now that I know where the problem is my mixes are much better for it.

I like it

Har bal?

My cat gets those all the time. I need to comb him more...

Oh... wait. I'll go check out that link...

[Okay... I'm back]

I wonder if they have enough start up funds to hire a proof-reader? Or a new copywriter... oh my.

The blurbs are complimentary. But it sounds a little "gee whiz" to me, actually. I mean, what are these funny things I have glued on the side of my head for?

I agree that graphic spectral analysis tools can help catch problems (like sub- or ultra-sonics) that might fly over or under the 'radar' of our monitoring environment, but I have to say, despite the nice things folks say about it, I think I'll just muddle on through with my ears...

A Paz or 'Foo or whatever goes a long way of helping.
