Logic effects in Ableton?

Hi,

I was wondering, since you can use garageband's au effects in ableton, is there a way to use the logic's effects too? I want to use spacedesigner in ableton!

Regards,

Nicolas

Logic Pro's effects can only be used in Logic Pro.

Normal AU effects can be used in an AU compatible host program.

So garageband's fx are normal au's then?
Could I use spacedesigner using rewire on a sendbus in ableton?
Are there any issues with this? Latency? Ease of use?

On another note: I recently bought lavry black AD/DA conversion, which are both hooked up via spdif to my motu ultralite. The problem I have now is that I have to reroute each track in logic to outputs 11-12 (the spdif outs), while the loops in the loopbrowser remain outputted to 1-2! Isn't there a master setting somewhere that routes everything to 11-12, so when I create a new track -> 11-12, when I listen to the loop browser -> 11-12, when I open up a new project -> 11-12... instead of all defaulting to 1-2?

I would've hooked up the DA to the mac's digital outs to retain 1-2, but then I'd have to select built in i/o in logic, and I wouldn't be able to use the 8 ins from the ultralite anymore.
