The StateofLogic is a cool one for me. But I haven't tried the Danish or Green Devil ones.
All eq's are very usable imho but the passive eq (though not much options with it) is one thats not mentioned much but totally kicks ass.

the BMX 376 seems to be a good squeezing program compared to the rest but I prefer to use the comp.s just for their colors and later add a non-nebula comp. after them. All comp.s on the latest gen lib. are great.

Hi guys,
I have a dumb question about downloading from Nebula-programs.com.
I'm using Vuze (Azureus) to download programs. But when I finish the download, they don't have a setup or install file of any sort. Is just the vectors an program files. Am I doing something wrong downloading or those ones should be installed differently? Please help, I'm missing almost every program there the same way. Specially, most Lexicon PCM ones.

Thanks.

move the vectors and programs to their specific folder.

.n2v to nebulatemprepository\vectors\

.n2p to nebulatemprepository\programs\

then they should show up in your plugin

Ive just got Nebula Pro running on the Mac with Cubase 5.01

I have a UAD SSL Duende and a Powercore

Nebula sluaghters them on Eq saturation and Reverb
Compression can be very good in Nebula but its not quite there yet.

Export a load of tracks at -18db with an API pre etc and then mix
from that wow what a difference

I just sent an e-mail to Michael Angel (was about mastering) about how the tubes work better when the input load is lowered (I remember also AlexB advising this for all nebula presets).

I'm still downloading the pre-amp examples from Home :: nebula-programs.com and is so much fun

Yes I was using the free version
The Pro version is beta as well

The Big difference is the huge libary it comes with and the access to 3rd party stuff from Nebula programs.com.Also some of the commercial 3rd party stuff is exceptional.

Nebual is like analogue in a box

Yeah the EQs are awesome right!?

Check out the AlexB sets - the API (MBC) console sounds amazing! Team those with analogueinthebox API Preamp and EQ set - you got a console sound that sounds REAL - not some crappy simulation...stikestike

are there any extreme filter/distortion addons to nebula? Id be curious to hear what it could do to something like that or some form of moog emulation.

whats cabinet emulation like in nebula compared to what softube and many other companies have brought us?

I hear Nebula Cabinets are the best yet - there is a guy called Aeternus with a blog where you can download his cabinet programs...You have to take great care in sampling and he has put the work in...Im not a guitarist sorry dont have a link...But there is a thread in KVR about it in the 'Effects' area...

What a bunch of BS. Torrent is a P2P protocol and not solely based on illegal distribution. Some Linux distros can *ONLY* be downloaded via torrent.
And there are a lot of Game demos that are shared over the Torrent network.
I suggest you you get a bit more info about things before stating complete nonsense.

Hi I'm interested in the nebula too. However, since my CPU isn't the fastest, I'd just like to try it as a tape thingy on the 2bus.

Does maybe nebula free cover that?

Cheers!

Thats true, absolutely. But Bittorrent simply has a bad reputation because of all the pirate-stuff. So for most people it will seem suspicious if you release your software over torrent networks, I guess.

i don't think so ... p2p is a very common way to distribute big files.
especially for smaller companies that can't afford hosting large files.

But I don't understand the problem actually. Would anyone think that Acustia
is a "warez company" just because they share their libraries over Torrent?
Many smaller developpers use file hoster for that (those are also used for
pirating stuff). I like the community philosophy a lot.

I think people like me and you and probably everyone here on the forums don't give a sh*t about if its torrent or not.

but people who don't really know what torrent is, and heard about the "bad guys" using torrent, might not be interested.

BTW...I was tracking drums today and ran all the tracks through the tapewarmbus_eq of the free verson.

Very impressed. Also, the analog channel might make its way to the 2bus.

i was not so keen on the 1176 all in for drums! How can you slam that thing?

Next mix I will try a reverb if my machine can handle it....

The Pro version consists of NAT3 and you get the new CoreII engine and also 64bit versions of Nebula.
You're right, if mac users (only?) are scared of this kind of file sharing stuff, they should just keep away from Nebula.

Check out the deepsea presets, I love them (even used it for mastering to give a wider feeling to the mix)
