What VIs do you use the most ?

i just want to know how the VIs out there stack up
list them in this format
name / style eg. piano or drum, slicer , or mixed / content eg. what dose it come with how many GBs / likes eg why u use it
ill start

transfuser i just have the demo / its a sampler , slicer loop based tool / comes with around 3gb of content/ i like it b/c i can chop with having to use reason. the fx are great.
i can play my chops and if i want to replace any part of the loop i can. the best part is i dont have to worry about plug-in delay for pro tools le transfuser is a work around that keeps me in one daw.

I don't like most VI's. Exceptions are Omnisphere and Hybrid. Looking forward to give the latest M-Tron a go soon.

I think the best use of the computer for VIs are sample-based ROMplers. I don't feel the need to drop $2000 on a Triton or Roland with a megabit rom card when things like Kontakt, EWQL, VSL, BFD, Guru, Korg Wavestation, and Sampletron/Sampletank exist.

All this analog modeling isn't for me. It's just not there yet. I haven't heard one I like. The first thing I do is turn off all the delays, distortion, compression, reverb. Then I take a listen, sweep the filter. Then I uninstall the demo.

I have the demo of Krishna running now... I don't like the filter, but there's some cool things it can do. Alchemy looks promising. FM8 is a faithful recreation of FM synthesis. All of these are doing things that can only be done digitally.

I have not heard Hybrid, since I'm not on Pro Tools.
