Thread Starter | XP Services Profiles
Hey Ya'll, I'm running a Dual-Boot with Hardware Profiles and User Profiles. I have the non-audio Services Disabled on the Audio Partition. Here's my question: it was my impression that Hardware Profiles will retain uniques Services Profiles, but what I'm finding is that when I make a change to the Services on one Hardware Profile, it seems to affect all of the Profiles. Has anyone had any direct experience with this? Ian |

I'll apologize in advance for my half-ast answer... but, yeah, that's the way it looked when I experimented with different setups on my laptop. I finally just stripped my everday load profile down to a sensible minimum. I can keep my initial load size under 120 MB. (But, of course, some programs are memory hogs and others just plain 'leak.' So I know without checking if I've run certain apps that I should reboot before doing any serious audio work.) |

I had the same impression when i tried that out, so now i created 2 partitions with partion magic and installed 2 times xp, tweaked them both . 1 for non audio and the other one only for audio with PT, traction and Nero pro, until today it works great. You need to make a third partition in fat 32 ( 50 mb is enough) to run PQ boot on so you can choose at start up wich OS you want to run. grtz
