XP Services Profiles

Hey Ya'll,

I'm running a Dual-Boot with Hardware Profiles and User Profiles. I have the non-audio Services Disabled on the Audio Partition.

Here's my question: it was my impression that Hardware Profiles will retain uniques Services Profiles, but what I'm finding is that when I make a change to the Services on one Hardware Profile, it seems to affect all of the Profiles.

Has anyone had any direct experience with this?

I'll apologize in advance for my half-ast answer... but, yeah, that's the way it looked when I experimented with different setups on my laptop.

I finally just stripped my everday load profile down to a sensible minimum. I can keep my initial load size under 120 MB. (But, of course, some programs are memory hogs and others just plain 'leak.' So I know without checking if I've run certain apps that I should reboot before doing any serious audio work.)

I had the same impression when i tried that out, so now i created 2 partitions with partion magic and installed 2 times xp, tweaked them both .
1 for non audio and the other one only for audio with PT, traction and Nero pro, until today it works great. You need to make a third partition in fat 32 ( 50 mb is enough) to run PQ boot on so you can choose at start up wich OS you want to run.

grtz
