Smile 2 powercores + uad + M-AUDIO FW 410

Hello everyone in this forum.

I am newbie here and I post my first thread...

So,

I was thinking of adding a UAD project pak in my setup.

The only thing I am trying to figure out is, if my pc can handle both the 2 firewire powercores and the M-AUDIO firewire 410 in the same bus, as I have only one pci free (I have the shuttle pc) which now is occupied by a pulsar creamware pci card.

So my feature possible setup could be:

SHUTTLE PC SB75G2, P4 2.6,

POWERCORE FIREWIRE & POWERCORE COMPACT

+ MAUDIO FW 410 , in the same fw bus,

UAD-1.

What’s your opinion, shoud my shuttle make it with all this stuff?

Thank you

Kostis

Unhappy

Seems that nobody here uses the pocos with fw devices, if not, then seems that users here are not so friendly to give a help to someone newbie who needs advices...
Anyway, if someone is interested in this topic could take a look at another forum I created whith more success...
Hope that may help poco users....

why don't you give it a try ?

I understand you already have everything except the uad.

clear the occupied pci, plug the firewire interfaces in the single bus and run some serious projects.

I'm no firewire user myself - but from what I've heard 3fiwi's on 1 bus are likely to cause problems....

however: if this works fine just add the new uad in the free pci-slot.
