Is it possible to convert Protools free to OMF

Does anyone know a way to convert a Macintosh ProTools Free session into an OMF file? Thanks in advance.

Not from PT free. You can open the PT free file on a Protools system with 'digitranslator' installed and then export as OMF.

Cheers, Julian

I'm not a PT guy, but I'm pretty sure you can just export your session as wav or AIFF files (make sure you export them as full length clips that all begin at 0) and then import them into another app and convert them to OMF -- without paying the 500 smackers for that handy little utility. You may lose some session info, though, I'm really not on top of what all can go directly from a PT session into an OMF file.

(Hey, but at least my half-answer boinked your thread up.)

By making all the audio files start from 0 (ie consolidating in PT) all your edits and fades are perminant though.

Consolidating is a good way of exporting but you need to make sure that you are happy with what you have already done.

Will.
