yeah, that works or maybe the digi oo2 if you want pro tools. you can get the
oo2 as a firewire interface with a control surface, or as a standalone rack unit.
depends on you cash flow.

M-Audio

M-Audio makes some nice Firewire/USB boxes that work with pro-tools (not to mention just about every other Multi-track software) I've been using the M-Audio quattro (4in x 4 out) USB box to record live shows off the 4 bus board they have at the venue.

It's not as nice as being able to record each channel off direct out's but it gets the job done if you mix it well in the first place
