For A little help with hookup please
one and all,
I would appreciate some advice in hooking up some items as I have been out of touch
for several years here due to poor health and would prefer to do it right the first
time, this time round
These are some of the items I am working with at this point:
Q6600 DAW - Cubase / Sonar - hooked and working fine
emu 1616m - hooked and working fine
PreSonus Central Station - hooked and working fine
Avalon 737sp not yet in the loop
Universal Audio 2192 not yet in the loop
Fostex PM 5.0 small nearfields hooked and working fine Central Station -A
JBL 4328's & L / R 4312's sort of
It would help a lot if you actually have or have used the Central Station & JBL
4328's & L / R 4312's as that is where I am least sure the best hookup for my needs
here.
The Central Station has 3 speaker l/r outputs A & B for nearfields and C for subs so
you can have either A on or A+C or B on or B+C, but the input output options on the
4312's are many, and I am dyslexic to boot here!
I prefer to not use the digital i/o at this point so I have the emu 1616m outs to
TRS-1 in of the Central Station and the 4328's hooked to the B outs and the 4312 l & r
subs hooked to C. The 4300's are all networked together and respond fine to the remote
but,it just seems the sub's aren't putting out quite what they should and I am not sure
about the whole 5.1 stuff.
I am just looking for suggestions and different connections from others with the
same setup if possible please. It would also be nice to have a better idea on how to
incorporate the 2192 and Avalon in this setting. Patchbay first? any help you can give
I would be thankful for.
