Native Instruments Battery & Cubase SX3 problem

Hoping someone can help me.

When I make changes to the output configuration in Battery, Cubase SX3 does not recognise these changes in the mix window, even after I restart the cubase project file I get a message like this

"This Mixer configuration expected "Battery" to have 2 stereo , 4 mono

The instrument currently has 1 stereo, 16 mono
change the instrument configuration before loading this setup without saving"

and it reverts to the default battery settings. Does anyone know a solution to this problem.

Likewise I have a problem with Battery, all samples are assigned to Battery's stereo output 1/2, there is no way of selecting any of thr other outputs? (yep I have made sure in options i have more than a single stereo output)

cheers

Well, that should be selectable by highlighting one or more drum pads and then selecting different outputs on the bottom right corner of the Battery intreface....likewise, then select different pads and then select different outputs.

I'm not sure about your SX3 issues though, thats a whole different ballpark. I use SX2, and Battery2 works fine in it...I usually run 4 stereo outs from battery with no problems.

When SX loads a plugin it scans for the number outputs, and creates them in the mixer.

If the project is saved with a specific output config for a VSTi, then the VSTi output config is changed, SX repoprts that difference.

I don't know Battery that well, but there should be a set-up screen where the outputs are enabled. Do that and there should be a 'save default' or similar button.

From the VST instruments panel (F11) re-select battery, which will re-load it, with the new output configuration.

Once loaded the samples should be assignable to each of the outputs.

Bas i already understood all that - cheers anyway. Reloading battery didnt change anything. Yesterday my update to Battery 2 arrived in the mail, i installed it and Battery 2 works perfectly - none of the probs that i had with Battery. So its all good.
