Nope, no PDF. And I don't think there's a demo.

No. It's MOTU's strategy against piracy. No aiding and abetting the buggers. Make it less easy to accomplish much. Online PDFs and demos just make it too easy.

That's really too bad. I send projects to DP users and have to ask them things I oughta know.

I'll never own DP (being happy with PTLE for my purposes) so no way will it affect me, except to ask the users what I need to know to send them their tracks...

So do they think that no manual will stop cracks? I know a musician who uses DP without the manual, he seems to have figured it out. I refused to let him even open it while I was in the room, where I was working with my PT 002R to record tracks for their mix/producer on another state... No cracks on any of my boxes!

No cracks here either. I don't know whether MOTU thinks having no manual online stops cracks. That just seems to be their policy. But it doesn't ENCOURAGE a person to use cracks. And frankly there's little reason to have a pdf when the actual manual is very comprehensive. Also there's a very good "Help Menu" that comes with it. I'm sure it's installed on the program, so I don't know what the issue is. It's pretty dang comprehensive.

From what I've been told, SD2 is the only files it will use...

You can import other formats, DP will convert it to SD2 in order to use it.
