Measuring latency in PT HD??? HELP!!!!!

Slutz,

I tried searching, so my apologies if this has been answered. I don't have much time to search through manuals at the moment. Does anyone happen to know how to measure latency on PT HD? I am running a TC Powercore in a PC that is separate from my Mac-based HD rig, and I only kept it to run their voice modeler (I do some kids' stuff and need to make characters' voices sound funny). I am running the signal from PT out over ADAT to the ADAT ins on the PC, processing with the voice modeler, then back out to the HD rig over ADAT. Is there a way to have PT HD send a ping, of sorts, to measure how long the signal's overall trip takes so I can compensate accordingly? Obviously, the automatic latency compensation is not going to account for the time spent in the PC since it just doesn't know. HELP!!!!???? Thanks so much.

Of course, by ADAT I mean ADAT optical cables. Don't worry - I'm not integrating the old blackfaces in the workflow. dfegad

output that track to a bus. create a new track and its input is the same bus. Hit record on that new track. Compare the 2 tracks' transients to check latency amount.
