Which app has the best looking waveforms

I've been thinking about the look of waveforms in editing software lately. It think it's long overdue to have something other than amplitude over time. I don't know if that exists. Does anyone offer more information than amplitude over time?

On a similar note. Who's got the best looking waveforms. Wavelab uses some sort of weird gradient, I don't think it looks good. Sonic has a little outline around their waveforms. Anyone have a particular love for a waveform view?

The only thing I can think of that's "different" than the norm is the Comparisonics waveforms (non-default) in Samplitude/Sequoia, where the colors of the waveforms change dependant on frequency content.

Maybe we'll get to a point where the default display can be a 'topograhical spectral analysis' graph... that could be handy. OTOH, if you look closely at waveforms, a learned eye can usually get a pretty good idea of what's going on, freq-wise.
