Cubase 24 bit 48 kHz help!

Ok I asked this in another spot of the forum but no replys.

So I am doing some mixing for this band and for some reason I cant get Cubase 4 to play the 24 bit 48 kHz wave files correctly.
I have the project setup set to 24 / 48 , but it still acts like a 48 in a 44 format. The files were created in Acid.

also the wave forms have a note and small wave at the bottom right, does any one know what this means ?

I also dont have this problem if the wave files are something I create or files from other people.

thanks

This means that the file has an associated tempo tagged onto it and activated in the Pool. Open the Pool and uncheck Musical Mode/Straighten Up (depending on what version you are using) and it will play back at its original recorded speed.

The problem could just be that the tempo tagged onto the file is wrong. Check the tempo and enter the correct info in the Tempo tag in the Pool if it is wrong and it should play back ok.

Ciao.
