Thread Starter | How to connect AES/EBU converters to a PC DAW
OK. I need a soundcard that can connect to multiple AES outputs. There's a bevy of cards that do multi channel in ADAT or TDIF, but most of the cards I see only have stereo AES/EBU. Are there any cards with 8 or more(pref 16-24) AES/EBU inputs that have asio or MME drivers? The only thing I can think of is the Lynx Aurora, but that's not shipping now. |

The AES16 is a great card. Stable drivers, great bang for the buck. Today, at MusicMesse, RME just announced a new AES card, although since they only posted CAD drawings of it, I wouldn't hold your breath for it to be delivered. The Prodif-88 is also a multichannel AES card, although the Lynx has more channels and is a bit higher tech (newer)... --Ben |
