Thread Starter | PT noob: Best way to find zero crossing point at leading edge of a kik? Hi all, coupla questions about cutting up samples and lining 2 kicks/snares up: PTLE 7 on a PC I have separated a loop zones using beat Detective, I use the scrub tool to hear teh beginnin gof the note, but i wanna make sure it is the right spot When I zoom in on the wave form too much I can't interpret what I'm seeing i.e. where is the beginning of the wave... zoom it out a bit, and it looks too blocky for any accurate cutting. What is the best way to do this? Do I use the Trim tool to do this? Also what nudge value do you use for this - sample I guess? Auditioning method: Loop the section and use nudge on the fly til it sounds best? . . . thanks guys

It's easy to find zero crossing on PT. You just have to enable, "tab to transients" and then use the tab key to go to the next transient. It should tab to a zero crossing.
