Liquid Mix Emulations

I know there was a thread a while ago... But... I think Liquid mix has changed to version 2.0 since then. What i like to know is what emulations you find are the best sounding for you and why. I have a couple of UAD cards and a power core and i am trying to get a similar analog feel out of the LM. There are so many options that I am not sure where to start. Additionally, have you found that you have created and hybrid EQs and if so; What did you use?

Mike

I like the 1176 emulations on bass, particularly the Stellar 2. The Manley emu's also sound pretty good on the 2buss, as does the Fairchild. Probably not all that close to the originals, but they do sound good. I've had good results with the CL-1B on vocals, also.

For EQ, I like the BritDesk4/SSL E Series and the Huge Tube/Manley Massive Passive emu's.

I haven't tried hybrids yet.

I have no LM but i have a question for you:

Is LM compresors capable to color your sound without any gain reduction movement?
Maybe it is the attack/release rate the thing emulated.....
Is color changing from one emu to another like real thing ?
If it is this way what about this color?
Does it really fatten up the track?

Thanks in advance
