AIFF files will not import into Pro-Tools

A little confused here.... I've been running PT for years on the Mac side but recently started using Windows (PT 7.4 with a 003)....When I try to import audio from my Lacie (that I was using on the Mac) it won't import individual aiff files (of course it says they're not recognized).... But if I try to import an entire session (that has aiff files in it) it loads right up.....
Is there a way around this without having to purchase an audio convertor app?

Which flavour of AIFF...? Apple have recently started using little endian (which is really unexpected by most apps).

Apple - Support - Discussions - Has AIFF data format quietly changed ...

I had the same problem on PT M-Powered 7.4 running on Windows XP. This seemed to be a major error. The only way I found to fix it was reinstall the entire operating system then reinstall all the xp updates...Then reinstall PT and bam...I could import anything I wanted...Weird stuff man and definitly isolated to Windows based Pro Tools systems.

Thanks for the replies....I'm going to look for some down time this weekend and re-install everything and see if that fixes it.... It's been a pain running sessions this way since the work-arounds take a little time.... Thanks again
