Thread Starter | MPC one bar behind Logic using MTC sync- HELP? i'm not exactly new to this, in fact, im sure i've asked a similar question before and worked it out, but im having an issue with this AGAIN. i set the mpc 1000 to accept mtc, and i set logic to transmit mtc and mmc, so that when i press record in logic, it starts playback on the mpc and records it in time. i've done this before in a previous project and it worked perfectly. but now, for some reason, there is a discrepency between logic's bar position and the mpc's bar position. so, for example, when i move the playhead to bar 1 in logic, it reads bar 8 on the mpc- and when i move it to different positions, the difference doesnt even stay the same: i put logic at 5.1.1 and the mpc reads 3.04.94. what's strange is that when i press play in logic, the mpc starts playing and it's tempo-synced with logic, but it's always a bar behind logic. this is totally baffling to me, as i've definitely done this same exact procedure before and i've never had this problem. i feel like i've tried every combination of settings in the mpc's midi/sync page and in logic's sync settings, even tried switching to midi clock- nothing helps. (logic also wont recognize my axiom usb controller's external midi port for the purposes of transmitting time code, but that's probably another story altogether, except that it also used to work...) can anyone point out that one stupid little setting that i've overlooked? im really hoping that's what this is. |

| I wonder if your Logic timeline is starting at 0.0.0 instead of 1.1.1. You may just do well to offset your sequence in Logic by a bar. Last edited by austin_tacious; 29th March 2011 at 04:36 PM.. Reason: specificity |
