Recording Sounds from my laptop within my laptop ?

I would like to record a sample of a sound in Fast Forward in Quicktime and save it as a .wav file.

Is this easily somehow possible?

Audio Hijack Pro is the tool you need..... A fantastic app... if you're on mac os x (not sure what your platform is)

Rogue Amoeba - Audio Hijack Pro: Record any audio on Mac OS X

The demo version should work fine to do what you need, but the app is well worth the $32 cost for the full version.
