Thread Starter | Improving G5/PT TDM performance via memory
We are using Pro Tools HD Acel with a dual G5. I notice that when the G5 reaches maximum DSP usage and /or is running a very large session (54 tracks at 96K) that the spinning beach ball appears more often and redraws and refresh can be slower. Do you think think that expanding my ram from 1 gig to 2...3...or 4 gig will reap a significant improvement with large sessions? |
