Anyway to use Altiverb on a PC?

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a way to use Altiverb (which is Mac only) with Nuendo on a XP Pro machine.... Some sort of VST wrapper or something? I couldnt find anything with a search and know its a long shot, but figured I might get lucky....
Thanx

Nope. Try Sir - its the original convo reverb plugin and the best part is its free.

http://www.knufinke.de/sir/

Theres literally hundreds of impulses out there you can use.

Or try Virtual OSX.

Then is there a way to use the impulses from altiverb with a program like SIR, or are the impulse responses completly platform dependant as well? There are a few new altiverb impulses I'd love to try out in the windows world...

get the sd2towav convert app to convert the altiverb ir's. also go to www.noisevault.com for other ir's. there's another app called convo_boy 1.03. you can find that on the kvr site.

Get a used g4- they're cheap now- and run it via system link on V-stack. In the end, any convolution verb is such a hog that you probably wouldn't want to be using it on your main machine anyway. I run Altiverb in a Mac-based TDM rig that hosts the Eventide plugs and does sidechaining for me, while my PC runs Nuendo.

SIR comments ?

I just checked SIR and downloaded some presets, and it sounded ... interesting .. I was a 480L user and I still recognized the reverb characteristics from this software, but ... how about the quality ? Has anyone A/B it with the real hardware ? Since the Impulses are mostly in 44/16 (or 44/24).

I was blown away from the IR-1 that I bought it. Now with version 2, it's even more amazing. You can adjust the reflections and tails which you can't do on most conv reverbs
