Thread Starter | Ensemble standalone mode
Heya, so I read up about standalone mode on the Apogee Ensemble and it's not what I thought it was. I remember the Digi002R having an ALT-MON input on the back, where anything routed to that can be fed to the monitors if the latter are connected directly to the interface, which is the case in most mixer-less setups. I also monitor through the Ensemble directly and so far so good, but is there any way to monitor what is permanently patched into my line inputs 5 through 8 (a few synths and my turntable outputs) in the back without the need to boot up Logic and arm-record tracks, basically giving the Ensemble the capability of functioning as a mixer? I think some of the MOTU interfaces are capable of this, it would be nice if this one could to! If not, I guess a small mixer will have to come into play.... Thanks! |
