Nuendo function..... in Pro Tools?

Does Pro Tools have a buffer/background record function?

In Nuendo I can hit Record and have the last 3/4 mins before record was hit as part of the audio files (regions are still locked at time) can this be done in PT ?

In Quickpunch, Pro Tools starts recording (on record armed tracks) as soon as you hit play, as far as recording before the transport is active, I don't know of any similar feature.
