Yah, it's true. What we don't know is if that .wav file was created my MS or by some sub that simply gave them the .wav files...

i checked mine..apparently it is true,
im sure Brad's second scenario is more likely, whoever supplied the files probably were the ones using the crack, i cant imagine microsoft doing that. Im sure they could call up Sonic Foundry/Sony and get an NFR version without a problem if they really wanted.

i really went back in the annals of time on this one.. "such a long time ago'" to one month ago. sorry its so dated.

lol, it is old news. but still it is still very funny stuff

It just goes to show how dirty the whole Windows world is.
Viruses, cracked software, more viruses and security flaws. oh and alittle more crack software.

Im actually typing this on a PC running Windows Xp, its like the one eyed, red headed step child in my family. lol

anyway... it is a shame and a very poor example from microsoft.

Peter

p.s. what is this monkey doing? I just noticed hil while typing this..

I can almost guarantee that it was subcontracted. While Microsoft does have an internal production studio for audio/video called MS Studios (which btw is top notch), the internal billback is respectable enough that often some project managers will take smaller jobs to a "cheap" subcontractor. Something like this is a perfect example, I'm sure this has already gotten back to the people responsible. Not exactly an evil plot, this stuff happens to corporations all the time when they don't follow up on the details.
