can someone suggest an external firewire hard drive for a powerbook g4 , 1,5 ghz, 2 gb ram to run pro tools le ?

As you have a Powerbook, why not make sure you get a drive WITHOUT a fan (whirrrrrr.) The Lacie Mobile drives are excellent, just make sure to get a 7,200 rpm model. http://www.lacie.com/products/range.htm?id=10036 And ... why bother partitioning a drive now that storage is so cheap? There's no speed advantage, and you are only limiting your options in the future. |
