Is possible to sell the registered plugins (Waves)

I am a long time registered user of Waves Platinum Bundle. I changed my system from ProTools and now I have no use for these plugins. DO you think it is possible to offer them for sale to sombody who may need them ? I really don´t know ... Because (based on challenge - response) how can I prove to Waves I have removed the plugins from my computer ? (I did - I changed Mac for PC) ...

This is from Waves' web site:

When buying a Waves software product second hand, please note that Waves requires a US$150 fee for the service of transferring the ownership of that product to your Waves user account.

Be advised that older version products may additionally require product upgrade for continued support.

For more detailed information, contact Waves Technical Support.
I did not go further, but you can easily follow this up.

And shame on you for your choice of computer.

Another one lost to the dark side.

I am currently about to transfer my license for the Native Platinum Bundle. Like Stone said, there is a $150 license transfer fee and the new user takes over where you left off re your WUP or lack thereof.

I had a few eMail exchanges with Waves Support and they didn't go into how I had to prove I wasn't using them. I made it clear that I wouldn't be using them because v4.0 doesn't work in Logic7 so it's a moot point from my point of view.

No, snobbish Apple was asking for more than double money for something which does not work as good as a dedicated PC. Would never go back and I regret those three years I was working on Macs )complete waste of time and money). Most of great audio softwares do not consider Mac anyway(Samplitude, Sequoia, Sonar, Pyramix, Sonic Solutions etc.)

I'm a Mac guy and use PT/DP all the time. For me, PCs are a waste of my time but of course that's just my opinion, right?

As for 'great' audio software... i don't know if I would include SONAR in that..... Remember, 'great' audio software are available on various platforms and just because it's on a platform you don't like, doesn't make it less of a 'great' software....

YMMV

Everybody has his choice, it is perfectly all right. But usually those who say PCs are "waste of time" or on a "dark side" never really worked on PC for some time. It is just kind of sectarian prejudice. I had been working on Macs for more than 3 years daily (having 5 different machines), so I think I can compare. Both platforms work more or less the same (having the same occassional troubles), except you pay at least twice more for Mac (and after few days you find the next model is out for 2/3 of price). I personally have not found any better software than Samplitude, so I am happy I can use it (on a cheaper and faster machine than any available Mac)

You took my comments faaaarrr too seriously.

I'm happy with whatever works for you. And by the way, I use both platforms, but Macs are my computers of choice.

By the way, glad I could help.

Not really . Just fun ... The truth however is, if I was on PC from the beginning, I could have few more nice mics for the saved money ... (here in Europe Macs are at least 1/3 more expensive than is US ...). But on the other hand I would not be so sure that there is not much difference ...

Thanks for your Waves advice ! I already offered it for sale
