Thread Starter | Quietest power supply around?
Fed up with the storm in my studio! Got a Zalman CPU cooler, very quiet, now I need a quiet PSU to go with it. I'm looking at Zalman, Enermax, Nexus NX-3500..... Any advise appreciated! |

The noisy part of your PSU is the fan, you could just replace it with a quieter fan. Also they make silicone gaskets to isolate the vibration of the PSU against the case. I posted some pics of my 'quiet daw' project where I did that in this thread.

I have Zalman, Enermac and Antec PSU's, all of which claim to be quiet. The Zalman is the quietest by far IMHO. I've never had much luck with silicone gaskets stopping case vibration though. |

Nexus. I'd buy one even if I didn't specifically need a quiet psu.
