Problem Installing NI Komplete

Before I go spend the afternoon cruising the NI boards, I thought I'd ask whether anyone here's seen this before:

I had Komplete 4 and 5 installed under 10.4.11 working fine on my first-gen dual 2.0 G5 powermac. I just installed 10.5.3 (erase and install) and now when I go to install Komplete, it takes me through the VISE installer until it gets to the "nnnn items to install" screen, at which point it just quits without comment.

I've gone through this routine about a million times now. Anyone know what I'm missing here? It installed like a charm when I installed it initially in 10.4; to borrow a line from Ginuwine, "What's so different?"

Comments, hints, rotten vegetables all appreciated...

I just spent two days dealing with this... and the fact that my serial numbers weren't working. I hate this authorization process and really wish NI would just allow me to use my iLok if I wanted to.

Here is the trick:
First download the latest NI Service Center 2.1 software from NI's website. You will need this for authorization and it is different than the software you had before Leopard, so it will not be on the CDs you're installing from (although it will prompt you at the end of every install to install the old non-functioning software).

Next download the "Leopard Install Patcher" from NI. This will stop the software from crashing during the install.

After everything is installed, run the Service Center and authorize!

Good luck, I hope this saves you a day of dinking around NI's website.

Thanks a mil, hombre!

I will sink my teeth into this this afternoon. Cue up the Starland Vocal Band for 13+ DVD's worth of install tedium...
