burning issues?!?!

hi everbody, in the last time i suffered alot from cd burning problems...means i couldnt even burn a disc...

my setup is an old mac os 9.2.2 running pt mix hardware...

my toast programm burns the disc and everything seems ok, but when i put the nurned disc back into the drive after it was burned the computer reckonizes a blank disc...a usual cd drive cant read the disc as well...

or the toast burns and when it comes to the lead out, it crashes and gives an error message...

my waveburner program gives me the prmpt that my audio hardware is not chosen and that i can tburn i i dont choose the audio driver, i can find direct i o in the list but the stting button seems useless...nothing happens...and when i try to burn waveburner gives me error messag id4... and my i tunes 2.04 don teven reckonize my superdrive 105...

what can i do??

i have clients and business meetings and cant burn my playbacks...please help me if you can...
