Athlon 64s ROCK!!!

I just got a 32+30 on the daveC test with a 128 buffer!!!!!

For all you non tools guys that's 62 tracks each with the digi compressor,eq, and 3 delay plugs on each channel. A 128buffer is tiny.....very....VERY hard tp percieve the latency...kinda like a TDM system.

Wierd thing is that I got a 32+28 with a 512 buffer....

Anyhoooo

What can I say.......WOW!!!!!!!!! Thank you mr AMD.

welcome to the dark side or should i say the "light".
ive been an amd user for several years now.
out of interest whats your confign ?
what multitrack software you using ?
a tip.....make sure your power supply is good enough
(some clone power supplies dont keep to spec)
in case you want to add a lot of peripherals in the future.
people always forget the power supply.
what sound solution are you using with the amd 64 ?
i'm thinking of upgrading my sound.
AMD 64 is just the beginning....of something very interesting.....
i told friends to buy amd shares quite a while ago. they laughed at me. they arent laughing anymore.
all the best.
