Id love to prove this bullshit

its probably some nut jobs deal to keep tabs on people

"I'm curing cancer by running a program "

sure you are ,

since surveillance seems to be the popular nut job trend
I know in downtown Fullerton the nut job cops installed a bunch of cameras
they cant even feed a homeless person how are they going to save people with a bunch of cameras

Considering SEX is way cooler than warfare, this computer should do SEXY things.

I wonder if ET lifeforms are looking at Earth through their transkinetic pulsebeam modifiers and yawning, sarcastically saying through hyper-attuned telepathy: "wow, they figured out 1,000 trillion calculations..."

Uh, guys?...this is a forum about computers, I assume we're all computer users, maybe even advanced ones? The paranoia is piling up here, War Games and Terminator were fictional, they were movies, guys, Entertainment Lite. Cameras might not save lives but they do catch bad guys after the fact, happens in my town all the time.

How is a thread about a supercomputer, something that could inspire (nerdy maybe) interest, turning into a government-and-cop-bashing thread?
