Logic pro 6.4.2 /dual G5 bugs

1) Logic doesn't let me open "recent songs" sub menu

2) Multi output EXS24 distorts if its not the highlighted track in the arrange window

Anyone else experiencing this?

To get your recent menu back, trash preferences, then use Logic Setup Assistant.

I have the same problem with Logic 6.4.2 on a Dual 1.5 Mac and despite following youor suggestion still don't get the "Open recent" option. I heard it was a Logic bug. Would like it back though!

PS is there an option to SOLO tracks grouped together as in Protools, I can't seem to find it

Out of interest what are you using as an audio interface Kudzu?

Audio interfaces

Tascam FW1884, ISA428(with digi board), Big Ben, Chandler LTD-1

Any thoughts on EXS24 as a multi ouput instrument...not triggering properly unless you highlight its track in the arrange window...its a pain in the ass....

..sorry, don't know much about the EXS24! I just work in audio with only occasional dip into EXS24 for overdubbing claps or perc sounds...

definately G5 / Logic pro bug

Had a location recording to do. Installed Logic Pro 6.4.1 in my G4 powerbook...Tascam firewire interface...etc, etc. Recent songs submenu worked fine....so leads me to beleive its a G5 issue...

Nope, it's not a G5 issue..I even have these problems on my G4 under 9.
It's a known bug which has been around for ages; once your recent menu is filled up at some point it might stop working.

As mentioned, trashing your preferences will cure it but will likely also trash your keycommands.

I'm not sure the EXS24 is supposed to be multi output capable (or are you talking about 5.1?) since it is basically a single channel instrument (i.e you can only run one patch at a time).

Could be that the patch level is too high (master volume)..try putting that on -6 or even -12

Cheers,

JOe
