Logic Audio session to Pro Tools session - best way?

Hi folks

I have a Logic session that has important fade info that I don't want to lose going into a Pro Tools session for mixing

It's been a while since I wanted to keep anything but the raw files going over into 'tools so I thought I'd check if there wasn't some new simple way of getting the session over

There's a bunch of export options in Logic - which is the best one to use to get me into tools with my fade files intact?

I've got a lot of automation on the lead vocal to various effects during the song (it's quite ambient and swimming) so I want to keep this data and use it to send the signal to much nicer stuff when I'm mixing

Cheers

Bev

If you're satisfied with those tracks, why not simply bouncing/exporting them (of course all starting from 1.1.1.1) ? I think it's always the safer method to transfer stuff to another daw.

Yep, make your live easy and print it !
It's always worth the time. Take the original, untouched files as BU anyway !

You're missing my point

I have a whole bunch of automatied rides on sends going to various effects on the lead vocal (amongst other things)

I want to keep this send automation so that in Pro Tools I can use it again, but using better effects mainly out of the box in another studio

Send to an audio track (I think Logic will let you do that) and record the ridden version.

It's all audio, in the end...

Install logic on the studio computer, and run your session in tdm mode. Pt plugins, logic automation.

I've recently been doing the same thing. Its time consuming, but just print it. Set the output of the source track to a bus (bus 1). Set the output of the auxiliary tracks (the ones with the effects you want to preserve) to the same bus track as the source (bus 1). Make an audio track. Set the input of the audio track to (bus 1). Record it with the audio track. You may need to add a limiter on it, however, because the summing of all those signals might distort.
