Hi I am wondering what some of your techniques are for stereo weaving. Let's say you are recording an acoustic guitar... a KM184 close to the strings, and a LDC a little farther away. If you are using two different mics and creating a sound that has depth due to this, how does one combine the two mono files into a stereo file? What are your techniques for doing this? Just stack them? That would be so strange sounding... a little thinner on the left (km) and a little deeper on the right (LDC). or whatever... Thanks, I'm curious. |

If I track a guitar that needs to be really full, I will use 2 different mics and pan one L and one R, the right channel I will put a few ms behind the L to give it a nice stereo presence.
