DPC Latency checker - how to interpret results

For the record I was including some statistics with apps that would theoretically hit the gpu harder than modern versions of something like wavelab or cubase, to show that nvidia's current drivers are fine for me (260.99 & previous 260's.) I also had a basic audio load and moved windows around without any change, nor any spikes.

I recommend using Latencymon v2.0 rather than DPC Latency checker because it tells you which processes have the highest DPC and ISR routine execution times. It also tells you which processes are getting hit with huge page faults.

For me, the biggest problem is usbport.sys which periodically kicks back hard (wireless internet dongle). The way Latencymon works means you have to disable speedstepping/turbo boosting to get accurate numbers but I guess thats less important than finding out the worst offenders. I can't be arsed to disable intelppm.sys and redoing power profiles but the information it gives you is useful regardless.

For DAWs you are much better off with all that speed stepping turbo boosting stuff off anyway.
