Thread Starter | PT and the new Mac Pro... how do I make it work? I've seen people talking about this problem but I have yet to hear the definitive solution: I recently upgraded from a G4 to a speedy new Mac Pro with dual 3.0G Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors. I am running a PCIe HD2 system. However, I've run into that RTAS error that tells me I don't have the processor power to run a single instance of Ezdrummer or Machfive. Now, before I wipe my drive and reinstall EVERYTHING (because I am using OS 10.5.2 instead of the Digi-approved 10.5.1), I need the answer to these questions: 1) If I go back to 10.5.1 and use PT 7.4.1 will this error be history? Will everything work fine? 2) If not, what is the problem causing this error and when will it be addressed? 3) Also, if not, what are people doing out there who have a Mac Pro and can't wait for the solution to arrive.... whenever it decides to appear? Thanks! Marlowe |
