Pro Tools 192x2 analog input question

Hi Gang - I need to tweak my buddy's HD system to cure a 'bug' we see from time to time.

He has HD with 2 192s. What we'd like to see is inputs 1-16 be all analog and don't care at this time for the digital inputs. Sometimes we see it such that 1-8 in PT are analog and 9-16 are DigiLink. Argh!

I checked it last night, and went to the I/O dialog in PT to arrange it this way, and it was cool. However, when I clicked on input for any track, it reflected the 'old' input arrangement: 1-8 analog and 9-16 DigiLink.

How can I fix this?

Your friend
