| Stompbox plug-ins One of the guitar players I'm tracking doesn't want to use his pedals for effects (noisy), and asked if I had chorus and flanger and stuff to add in Pro Tools. RRRRRGGGHHHHH.... the "add it in Pro Tools" mentality is frustrating, but he got me to thinking. I have the Digirack plugs, the delay and modulation effects that came with PTLE, but stompbox effects have a certain character and ease of use that I would like to have in my DAW. What do you guys use for guitar effects, if not the Digi stuff? Is the Line 6 stuff worthwhile? Thanks! |

| The Waves GTR 3 is freakin great. I haven't even really bothered with the amp simulations, but the pedals are excellent. You can load up just the pedals without no amp/speaker section.

| Thanks... that was some of the questions I had about the amp modelers is that I don't need amp modeling, just effects. Glad to know I don't have to use the amps. |

| The best sounding solution to me is using better pedals. Good flange, phase and chorus pedals sound better than any plugin I have heard so far. Of course that means you have to commit to a sound. I find commiting early on saves time in the end. Todd

| Yeah, I know this.... I have some pedals of my own but not what he wanted. I invariably get people to track how they would normally play, using their effects as we go along. This situation just got me thinking about options - one option being get some more pedals. |

| I think you can turn off the cab sims in Amplitube....but surely guitar pedals go before the amp, not after? Soundtoys Echoboy/Phasemistress always good for these sort of FX. Or MoogerFooger (which actually are pedal emulations). nomad make a (free) phaser which is of some use. |

| I love sansamp, ampfarm, but amplitube is the best so far. A lot of people have been telling me digi's eleven is the sh*t.
