Thread Starter | USB or midi for controller keyboard? Hey I really would like to minimise midi latency as much as possible. I use a controller keyboard to trigger midi on softsynths as well as hardware synths. I have have a mac pro and a UA2192 and want to connect them via AES. I'm thinking of buying an RME HDSPe AES (when its released) that has midi IO because I've read on these forums that RME has great midi latency performance. As a final sanity check I want to check with you guys whether you get better midi latency performance with midi or USB. If USB is better I could get a Lynx AES16e and some other USB midi interface - suggestions welcome. You input is greatly appreciated. |
