just watched all 3...doesn't really clear up the issues I've had before - where one hit has multiple event markers (due to spill in different mics), and then when you quantise it, there's warp markers created for each, instead of just the earliest one (like beat detective does). Hence one hit gets pulled all over the place.

That said, I could do with some more playing around with it..oh, and a new mac to cope with it all!

ok - I take that back - just read this on the duc:

"Hi there,

I wanted to mention that we've posted an update that changes the behavior of EA quantize a bit with multi-track drums. (That's the 7.4 CS2 update) Whereas previously it would choose the transient nearest the grid and quantize that, now it will choose the earliest transient for a given hit (i.e., the first mic that gets the hit).

There's also a usability improvement for setting the event sensitivity: if when lowering the sensitivity to the point where most of the transients are accurate, you notice some have disappeared that shouldn't have, you can boost their confidence with a single click, rather than having to move the transient. To do this, just raise the sensitivity until they reappear and click on them (with the grabber or pencil tool). This boosts their confidence to 100%, so that when you lower the sensitivity again, those that have been clicked upon or moved will not disappear. You previously had to actually reposition the marker to do this, so if they're already well positioned, this should save a bit of time.

Also, FYI, the transients for different mics are intended to occur right at the respective onsets for each mic, and not necessarily occur at the exact same place across all the drum tracks; the EA plugins perform best like this."

So i guess I DO have to spend some more time with it!
