basic question...

When i burn a CD in Nero, it asks for the title of CD and artist name. However, this info never seems to get read by any media or CD player. How can i get the album info to show up any player just like any of the major labels do?

Unfortuantely, standard Audio CDs aren't able to carry this information (as far as I know.) What major labels do is submit the CD info to a CDDB database (like GraceNote) and the user who plays the disc on their computer has their media player set up to automatically search for the info on the web.

(A) Are you specifically writing CD-TEXT information into the TOC?

(B) Are you testing on players that support CD-TEXT?

Windows Media Player, etc., do tend to read Freedb & Gracenote information, but don't actually read CD-TEXT information.

Nero might be writing the CD-TEXT info, but your programs & players just can't read it.

When i put certain major label CDs into my CPU's disk player, the band's name and song title appear in the window. That is what I was hoping do do w/ my home-burnt CDs...
