Open Labs Miko

Hey guys I'm sure if you've seen Open Labs Miko but I saw it recently and it seems pretty interesting. I was wondering if anyone had one? I have a dual 1.8 g5 with 3 gigs of ram, I almost want to sell it to get some cash towards the miko. It just seems the price gets you a lot of VSTs and audio samples (drum samples, etc) for the price. Does anyone have experience with this machine?

Hi Redbook,

I work in product development at Open Labs and I use a Neko LX for music production at home. I will be glad to answer any technical questions you (or anyone else who reads this) may have about our products.

You can post your questions here, pm me or send an email to matt@openlabs.com

DBeat/miko lxd

Im torn between the purchase of the DBeat or the Miko lxd! It would seem as far as I can tell that Dbeat has more preloaded sounds and the full version of ableton live 7, the same amount of memory 4g 12inch touch screen aposed to 15 inch, not a big deal, cpu small diff, and no keyboard, and they share the same software pkg bundle $800 more for the LXD doesn't seem justified. Am I right?

Hi Hansel,

The quad CPU in the LXD will give you up to 30 percent more headroom. Also in addition to the 3 octave keyboard, the LXD comes with a terabyte drive and can hold a second one if you like.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Best,

Matthew Presley
