Quadzilla + Pro Tools HD = Crash

Hey Guys! I posted this on the DUC forum, but I wanted to give you guys a stab at it as well. I just built a new computer for use with my HD system. It consists of a nividia 680 sli motherboard, 4 gigs of ram, intel q6600 processor, western digital 80gb harddrive, 64mb nvidia graphics card, lite-pn dvd-rw, and a x-connect 500 watt power supply.

I'm running Windows XP SP2.

I've read through the DUC forum and optimized Windows for HD in the control panel as suggested in the general trouble shooting DUC forum but I am still getting crashes consistantly every 5 to 10 minutes after I open Pro Tools and begin working. The strange thing is most of the time there is no DAE ERROR, the machine just freezes up and turns off. I'm updated from HD 7.0 to 7.1 cs10 last night and it didn't seem to help the problem. I also disconected my Firewire HD thinking it may be conflicting but I'm still having the same issue. Back in the day on my old LE system I had a similar problem that was caused by a conflict with the video card, but from what I read I thought all nividia video cards were compatible.

Can anyone please help with suggestions on what maybe causing the problem?

thanks!

its either :
- power supply (most likely )
- get motherboard with intel P35 or 975 chipset ,cause they DO work nice with PT HD 3 cards ,check details, specs on DUC ,various nvidia chipsets have trouble with multiple PCI cards present - that's a looooong story
- use one RAM stick ,and start adding more memory if it works ,and if you want to use 4 gb ram read about /3GB switch

good luck
