Arrow Cubase SX3 - what was the last version released before they went to version 4?

I am wondering how far along Cubase SX3 got to? Was it 3.4 or 3.5 perhaps?

Also were there any improvements in the sound qualtiy of the Cubase SX3 software in any of the updated versions of SX3.x compared to the first version of SX3?

Thanks!

3.1.2 or something like that as far as i can remember. I don't think the sound engine has changed with any of the updates even with Cubase 4.

Looks like it stops at 3.1.1.944 (Nuendo is 3.2.1.1153):

Are you guys sure that Cubase never went any higher than version 3.1.1.944 ?

or

3.1.2

Seems like not too much development went on with SX3. Perhaps it was rock solid out of the gate. That would be a miracle!

Does anyone have a real CD ROM copy of Cubase SX3.x they have stopped using and want to sell me with the real hard copy of the manual book and transfer the ownership over to me?

I have the Cubase SX 3 package, but it didn't come with a hard copy of the manual, just a quickstart guide type thing. Cubase 4, however, did include a 600 page hard copy of the manual.

You might post on the WTB area of the secondhand gear area, there might be someone moving to Logic, etc. Although, if they're like me, they'll keep Cubase just for legacy projects. I recently moved to an Intel mac, and to Cubase 4 (since SX 3 wasn't UB.) However, I'll be keeping my G5 mac for a good while, since most of the plug-ins are different, especially the stock Cubase ones.
