Waves demos authorization WTF?

So I tried to run the demo of the V series.......... Installer crashed... authorize demo enabler..you have no pending ilok authorizations...authorize v demo...... you have no pending ilok authorizations...email from waves....your demo product is now authorized....ilok page: no pending authorizations..........authorized 5.9.7 enabler........your ilok has pending authorizations but not for this product.......How to authorize your demo: download 5.9.7 authorizer..............you have no pending ilok authorizations........if you have problems installing your product contact customer support............... tech support is only available for customers with wup- want to upgrade your account?

I don't give a flying **** if this plugins are the dogs bollocks.......this much hassle just to try out a demo??

I had the same experience once, and I'm sure we're not the only one. I don't understand why it's required to have an iLok for a demo product. Perhaps I'm missing something.

LOL. Priceless bro.. I feel your pain!!!! Get your WUP so you can DEMO the product

I was there yesterday and was looking at the SSL collections and was going to try the demo until I found out you have to have and i_lock and download the demo to it. Blah Blah Blah.

I think its funny actually cause they are KILLING THEMSELVES with their stupid policies. Oh well. there are other plugins out there

One of their demo installers (forgot which one) caused a black screen of death on my Mac Pro - something I hadn't seen in years. I still use Waves' Ren Maxx, but I'm not going to buy anything new from them unless they radically change their business practices.

Well at least this made me get my gear in action and get the sonalksis mk2 plug...long overdue purchase. Great plug, great company - absolutely hassle free

Same thing here. Couldn´t get SSL, API or V-series demos working. Looking at other brands of plug-ins now. Waves is not an option.

The license don't show on ilok.com they're readable by waves only .

Follow the instructions is your best bet . Didn't have a problem to authorize products or demos .

No, your best bet is to demo a product that doesn't come from Waves. I tried for a week to demo waves ssl, but it litteraly drove me insane. Took me about 5min to start demoing URS with iLok.

STAY AWAY from Waves!
