How do YOU use Vintage Warmer?

yeah, these are the critical settings. i also keep it in multi-band mode for small eq adjustments. i use the vintage warmer most often on electric guitars - both clean and distorted. btw, i do not like their presets...

PSP needs to make a better manual for Vintage Warmer. This is my favorite compressor, but I have yet to really understand how it works.
I did not think that ceiling had to do with output gain. (In response to a couple posts above.)
It works more as a limiting amount, no? For example, if you put it at -2dB, your new ceiling is 2dB lower. The more negative you go, the more you are limiting. Then you couple that with the multi-band settings and the high/mid/low saturations in the past. For example, you could only have that ceiling for signals below 100Hz.

VW was the first "proper" 3rd party plug in I purchased many years ago- Craig Anderton gave it a big thumbs up and I'm glad I took the plunge!

It's a great piece of gear, and I just started using it again after a bit of a hiatus from it. I now have it placed on my Master Bus using one of the many mix/master settings as a starting point. It's got some simple and effective EQ, adds a healthy bit of gain (which I always like to dial back some), and glues everything together nicely.
